Secure Messaging
The secure messaging feature allows you to communicate with Bank of Marin directly through digital banking. It’s a safe way to ask questions, request information, or discuss your accounts without using email.
How to Use Secure Messages
Starting a New Conversation

Go to Messages
Navigate to the Messages section in digital banking. -
Click “New Conversation”
Select the option to start a new message thread. -
Write your message
Type your question or message and send it.
Your message will be sent securely to Bank of Marin staff, who will respond as soon as possible.
Reading Your Messages
- Your inbox will display all message threads
- Unread messages are clearly marked
- Click on any thread to view the full conversation
Replying to Messages
- Open the message thread you want to respond to
- Click the “Reply” icon
- Type your response and send
Deleting Messages
To delete a message thread:
- Select the conversation you want to remove
- Click the “Delete” icon
- Confirm the deletion
Important: Deleting a message is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you’ve saved any important information before deleting.

- Convenient: No need to call or visit a branch for simple questions
- Documented: You have a record of all conversations
- Private: Much safer than regular email for discussing account details
