Transferring Funds

Overview

You can transfer funds between your Bank of Marin accounts. You can also make external transfers to or from an account you hold at another financial institution.

How to Transfer Funds

Follow these steps to transfer money between your accounts:

  1. Navigate to Transfer Funds
    In the navigation menu, click or tap Transactions > Transfer Funds.
  2. Select the source account
    On the Transfer Funds page, in the From drop-down list, select the account you want to transfer funds from.
  3. Select the destination account
    In the To drop-down list, select the account you want to transfer funds to.
  4. Enter the transfer amount
    In the Amount field, enter the amount to transfer.
  5. Choose the frequency
    Select the Frequency for your transfer:

    • Default is One Time Transfer
    • For any other Frequency besides One Time Transfer, select Forever or Until Date (this option will require an End Date)
  6. Select the transfer date
    Click or tap the Date field, and then select the date that you want the transfer to occur/start.

    Note: The date selected is the date you want the transfer to be processed, not the date the funds will become available.

  7. Add a memo (optional)
    Enter information about the transfer in the Memo field if desired.
  8. Complete the transfer
    Click or tap Transfer Funds. The Transaction Authorized message appears and confirms that the transfer was processed or will be scheduled to process.
  9. View or create another transfer
    Click or tap Close to set up another transfer, or click or tap View in Activity Center to review the transfer.

Transferring to External Accounts

To transfer money to or from accounts at other financial institutions, you’ll first need to link those external accounts to your Bank of Marin account.
